Michaelsan's Coffee Hut was opened in September 2008. Owner Michael Beecher had spent many years as a professional photographer. When it was time for his next challenge he decided to open a coffee bar.

In his travels photographing everything from babies to weddings as well as professional sporting events, he had tasted some of the best and worst coffee around. His mission was to offer great coffee and espresso drinks at reasonable prices with great service in a pleasant environment. The location in the Monarch Tower in downtown Springfield offered a great opportunity to serve the business people of the building as well as visitors to the attached Sheraton Hotel as well as display some of Michael’s photographs.

Michaelsan’s offers a variety of coffees and espresso drinks as well a bagels, pastry and biscotti. Lunchtime brings fresh baked Otis Spunkmeyer cookies as well as a variety of Coca Cola products. Also available are great tasting smoothies and frozen cappuccino drinks.

Michaelsan’s proudly serves Blue Moon Coffee. Here is their story “In 1997 we could not find good coffee in or around Springfield, MA, so we started to roast our own coffees in an oven. That was the birth of Blue Moon Coffee Roasters. For the next ten years we ran retail coffee shops in and around Springfield.
